Dear Client:Here's the latest on the "Craft Freedom" suit in North Carolina, where two local brewers are suing the state in attempt to render self-distribution caps and franchise law provisions unconstitutional. Things are getting ugly.CBD reported in late May that Olde Mecklenburg Brewery and NoDa Brewing's lawsuit seemed headed to trial. Wholesalers were subpoenaed last month, along with requests for loads of sensitive info, from business communications to political contributions.
