On the heels of new self-distribution legislation in Illinois set in motion by A-B's proactiveness in the distribution space, Wisconsin distribs and MillerCoors are being proactive themselves. To avoid the kind of court challenge A-B "successfully" put forth in that case (discrimination against out-of-state brewers, since those in-state could self-distribute), the Wisconsin Beer Distributor Association and MillerCoors are lobbying for a bill that would offer a brewer-distributor type permit
