As reported yesterday, Coke and Coca-Cola Enterprises ended the controversial test to distribute Powerade to Wal-Mart central warehouses, and is going back to good ol' fashion DSD.The test "did not meet our mutual expectations," said CCE chief Terry Marks in a memo to employees. Recall that Coke and CCE settled a lawsuits with independent Coke bottlers last month, with the indies getting an encroachment fee. The lawsuit had nothing to do with ending the test.
