Dear Client: Following January’s storm-driven mess [see BBD 03-15-2026], February supply data from the Beer Institute looks better – but not exactly good. DOMESTIC SHIPMENTS UP A SLIVER ON SUPER SOFT COMP. Domestic shipments in February totaled 10.2 million barrels, up 0.2%, a clear improvement from January’s 9.5% drop. Constellation Fully Acquiring HOPWTR
Dear Client: Another day, another breaking news story: Constellation is announcing an agreement to acquire non-alc hoppy sparkling adaptogenic RTD/water, HOPWTR, in which it first invested (minority stake) in 2021 [see CBD 07-28-2021]. The deal is expected to close next month, subject to the usual closing conditions. It’s not hard to understand the move.
