Sapporo Embarks on Next Phase to Sever Stone Ties, Laying Off Over 50 Employees

Dear Client: Sapporo USA is officially taking the next steps to close the former massive Stone Brewing production facility, restaurant and beer garden as part of the Japanese company’s sale of its craft brewing arm earlier this year to Firestone Walker and Duvel USA. Of course, with closures come layoffs, and several WARN notices filed by Sapporo in California last week indicate 58 former Sapporo-Stone employees (who currently work for Sapporo’s production arm) will be laid off as part of
