An Indiana ruling yesterday resulted in a mixed victory for wholesalers and wineries. The Seventh Circuit US appellate court rejected an August 2007 ruling that lifted the face-to-face requirement on the grounds that direct shipments give minors easier access to alcohol. However, the court did not hold up Indiana's law prohibiting wineries from shipping direct to Indiana residents if they hold a wholesale license in another state.Now, Indiana residents must purchase wine in person at a winery before placing direct-to-consumer
