Beer Institute Predicts Tough 2018

Dear Client:The Beer Institute's chief economist Michael Uhrich gave his annual U.S. State of the Industry report yesterday, and in general it doesn't look pretty. Highlights:PREDICTION 2018. After being up 0.4% in 2016 and down 1.3% in 2017, you'd think we'd have an easy comp for 2018. Nope. Michael says the headwinds are stronger than the tailwinds for beer at the moment, and he predicts beer shipments could be down between 1% and 3% (!). We've had bad weather, true,
