Behind Mass Bay’s Agreement to Buy Long Trail

Dear Client:   As BBD broke news this a.m., Harpoon parent Co. Mass. Bay Brewing has an agreement in principle to acquire 30-plus year Vermont brewer, Long Trail Brewing Co., plus their Otter Creek and Shed brands. Price wasn't disclosed.  As part of the agreement, Mass. Bay Brewing Company (part ESOP), will continue to operate the Long Trail facility in Bridgewater Corners, Vermont, while starting to brew Long Trail, Otter Creek and Shed brands in Mass Bay's own Windsor, Vermont
