What’s Driving Craft Wheat’s Trends?

Dear Client: 2020 was supposed to be the year of wheat for craft. Many top craft brewers announced new wheat/wit plays for the market, perhaps capitalizing on its hazy characteristics and lower ABV range (4%-6%).  To name just a few new wheat offerings off the top of our head: There’s Shiner’s Weisse ‘N’ Easy; Rhinegeist’s Whiffle witbier; Harpoon’s DragonWeisse; an imminent “functional white ale” from New Holland called Lightpoint; Cape May White; and definitely more that we simply don’t have
