Molson Coors Kills Current Freight and Fuel Program, Replaces with Set Rate

Dear Client: Molson Coors is doing away with its annually updated, 10-year-old freight and fuel program that was meant to split freight and fuel volatility between MC and its wholesalers.  In its place comes a new flat rate surcharge, effective January 1st, that will no longer be adjusted yearly.  “Instead, the 2022 surcharge of $0.186 per case-equivalent will be the set rate moving forward and it will be included in the distributors’ billing price,” the company is communicating to wholesalers.
