Four States Side with Kroger/Albertsons in FTC Lawsuit

Dear Client:   Since Kroger and Albertsons first announced their proposed $24.6 billion merger in October 2022, it's been met by opposition from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) as well as Attorneys General in Washington, Oregon and Colorado, with nine others joining the FTC's federal complaint.  But last week a few state AGs actually came to Kroger and Albertsons' defense.  On Wednesday the state of Ohio filed an amici curiae brief alongside Alabama, Georgia and Iowa, in support of Kroger
