Diageo Cuts Ties with Diddy Amid Lawsuit

Dear Client:Earlier this month musical artist and entrepreneur Sean "Diddy" Combs filed a lawsuit against longstanding business partner Diageo alleging racial discrimination led to poor performance of their co-owned DeLeon Tequila brand [see WSD 06-01-2023]. Today Diageo filed its response to the lawsuit, and officially ended its relationship with Diddy. "We are saddened that Mr. Combs has chosen to recast a business dispute as anything other than that and chosen to damage a productive and valued partnership," says a Diageo spokesperson.
