Grokking Channel Trends for H1

It's been a slow year so far for the off-premise alcohol channels. For the first six months of 2017, sales in the beer/wine/liquor store channel (i.e. package stores), and the warehouse/supercenters channel outpaced traditional grocery, according to the June BW166 report.Package stores, which is the smallest of the three channels, brought in about $24.7 billion in H2, and grew by 2.83% (roughly $679 million). The grocery channel and warehouse channel are closer in size, $299 billion and $216.5 billion, respectively.
