The 2013 California wine grape crush delivered another record high of 4.23 million tons, up from the 2012 crush of 4.01 tons, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service preliminary harvest report. The total 2013 crush was a record 4,685,075 tons. Red wine varieties account for the largest share of all grapes crushed at 2.4 million tons, up 5% from 2012. The 2013 white wine crush totaled 1.82 million tons, up 6%.
