Dear Client: Wine imports have certainly seen better days. The most recent scan data from Nielsen shows that dollar sales fell -2.5% and volumes declined -1.6% in the 4 weeks ending Nov 12. (Meanwhile domestic wines grew 5.5% in sales and +1.6% in volume). Compare that to the 52-week period when imports' sales were up +0.3% and volumes were down -1.1.
