TWE Report Creates Tempest in a Teapot

Dear Client:Earlier this morning, the internet was abuzz with speculation after the Australian reported that Pernod Ricard winemaker, Jean-Christophe Coutures said Pernod would be interested in buying TWE's US assets. Note, there was no direct quote from Jean-Christophe. Several other publications subsequently picked up on the information and created a veritable tempest in a teapot. At first glance, this doesn't seem like such a far-fetched idea. Pernod Ricard has declared its commitment to the US wine space (see WSD 04-24-2014),
