TTB Cracks Down on Copper Cane Wine Labels

The Oregon labeling controversy has come to a head. The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) has ordered Napa Valley-based Copper Cane Wines to remove Oregon AVAs from its Elouan wine brand label because the wines are produced in California. The Oregon Winegrowers Association kicked off the issue, sending a letter to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission saying that Copper Cane may be purchasing bulk wine produced in Oregon but then vints and bottles
