The on-premise analysts at Winemetrics have long been saying the wine category is losing share of mind on-premise to beer and spirits. This year for the company's 2016 Wine Buyer's Report, they have provided a look at the anatomy of the average wine list at a casual dining chain, hoping to gain some insight.Based on that research, the average casual chain offers 20 wines by-the-glass (BTG) and 22 wines by-the-bottle (BTB) with 13 varieties served BTG and 14 served BTB.
