TEXAS MICROBREWS CALL FOR DIRECT SHIPPING

Microbreweries in Texas may soon be able to ship their product directly to consumers. Rep. Jessica Ferrar, D-Houston, filed a bill Wednesday called the Texas Microbrewery Free Trade Bill, which would allow microbrewers to sell to consumers. Currently, the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Code require microbreweries to sell only to distributors and retailers.
