SipSource Data Shows Steeper W&S Declines Ahead of OND

Dear Client:   Yesterday we took a look at the latest NielsenIQ scans, which showed lackluster results for wine and spirits [see WSD 10-09-2024], but SipSource's latest data set (which includes both on- and off-premise) shows steeper category declines.  Collectively, wine and spirits depletions were down 6% for the 12 months through August. Not surprisingly, spirits fared better than wine, with wine depletions down 8% and spirits depletions down nearly 4% for the period.  "One fewer shipping day in August
