SGWS Buys A-B NYC Distrib Operation; Launches Dedicated NY Division

Dear Client: In recent years, we've reported quite a bit on beer distributors getting into wine and spirits, but today's news features the largest wine and spirits distributor expanding its beer business.  Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits (SGWS) reached an agreement to acquire Anheuser-Busch's owned New York City distribution operation.
