Sazerac Makes Cognac Acquisition

Just when you thought you'd heard the last from us. WSD has learned Sazerac has acquired Domaine Breuil de Segonzac Cognac located just outside Segonzac, France. The property is about 220 acres and includes its own grape pressing operation and distillery with four pot stills. The purchase includes the Cognac distillery, organic vineyards, a chateau-style mansion, an 18th century restored farmhouse, visitor center and existing stock.Sazerac purchased Breuil de Segonzac from Patrick and Maria Brillet, who have decided to retire.
