Dear Client: You'll recall that after Diageo and Jose Cuervo parted ways this year, Proximo Spirits was put in charge of the brand's distribution (see WSD 03-01-2013). In announcing the move, Proximo chief Mark Teasdale said their goal was to turn the ailing tequila brand around through "considerable investments in brand-building and innovation."
