Pernod Plans to Sell More Brands

Dear Client:In the third quarter of its 2008-2009 fiscal year (July 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009), Pernod said de-stocking in the United States and globally hurt the company, causing revenues to decline -2%. Last week Pernod lowered its EBIT to between 3-5% from 5-8% as a result, showing that the environment proved tougher than Pernod originally expected.In the third quarter, spirits and wines overall achieved organic growth of +0.7% and -1.3% respectively.
