Pat Roney Shares VWE’s Grand Ambitions

Yesterday Vintage Wine Estate (VWE) announced its acquisition of Dave Phinney's Splinter Spirits Group [see WSD 08-03-2016]. The move was the latest in a spate of big VWE purchases that got our attention. Recall, it also recently acquired Canopy Management, picking up the popular Middle Sister brand, Swanson Vineyards, and B.R. Cohn. The company now weighs just over 1 million cases, and VWE chief Pat Roney says it's all part of the plan to double in size within the next
