Dear Client: Despite the Oregon Liquor Control Commission's (OLCC) attempts to "modernize" the state's alcohol policy, the Northwest Grocery Association (NGA) has begun the process of adding a privatization measure to the 2014 ballot. The political group behind the initiative, Oregonians for Competition, has filed five initiative petitions aimed at privatizing the state's alcohol sales. The five petitions vary, but all of them would remove the state from the alcohol business and allow stores of 10,000 square feet or more
