On-Premise Spending Accelerates in 2018

Recently consumer spending on-premise had bucked its long-term trend of growing faster than off-premise, but it looks to be increasing again with on-premise spending growing almost twice as fast as off-premise in the year through August, according to a recent BW166 report.Total spending on-premise was up 9.2% for the year through August. Beverage alcohol accounts for about 25%-26% of total spending on-premise and was up nearly 8% for the year period.Full service restaurant sales were up 4.7% for the year
