NY Lawmaker Aligns with Empire Wine in NYSLA Dispute

The power to discipline Albany-based retailer Empire Wine, may be out of the New York State Liquor Authority's (NYSLA) hands soon. Yesterday, New York State Assemblyman Phil Steck introduced a bill (A05920 ) to amend current state laws and essentially prevent the NYSLA from punishing Empire Wine (or any other retailer license) for "perceived violations" of another state's laws.
