NY Gov. to Decide on Empire Wine Bill

A New York Assembly bill written to limit the NYSLA's power to sanction in-state liquor licensees for violating another state's laws has finally made its way onto Governor Cuomo's desk after having passed through both chambers of the Assembly in June.The bill (A05920 or The Empire Wine Bill) was introduced earlier this year by Assemblyman Phil Steck. A formal summary of the bill says it "limits the authority of the state liquor authority to penalize licensees based on perceived violations
