Non-West Coast Wineries Report “Biggest Growth Ever” in DTC Shipments in 2020

Dear Client:   In 2020, direct-to-consumer wine shipment volumes outpaced value growth as consumers gravitated towards lower priced wines. Indeed, the average price per bottle of wine shipped was down 9.5% to $36.83 for the year, per ShipCompliant's annual DTC report [see WSD 01-25-2021].  As such, the three regions with the lowest average bottle prices—the rest of US (i.e. outside of the West Coast), rest of California (which includes Mendocino, Lake, Livermore, Temecula and Sierra Nevada counties) and Sonoma County—
