New Privatization Initiative Filed in Washington

Dear Client: It feels a little like Groundhog Day. Care Act 2011 was introduced yesterday, and now we are learning that conservative blogger Stefan Sharkansky has filed a new spirits privatization initiative with Washington's secretary of state. Stefan helped write I-1100 last year, which was backed by Costco. I-1100 and I-1105 failed to pass the vote, but as we reported yesterday, proponents are not giving up. The new initiative, I-1157, will need more than 240,000 valid signatures by July 8.
