Molson Coors Takes Another “Step Beyond the Beer Aisle” with New Whiskey

Dear Client:  Molson Coors announced yesterday it is releasing a premium blended American whiskey, called Five Trail, under the Coors Whiskey Co. banner. This is the big brewer's latest "step beyond the beer aisle," per blog post, behind Proof Point spirits-based seltzer and Movo wine spritzer (which the brewer recently discontinued), and it's the first full-strength spirits product.  MC has partnered with Kentucky-based Bardstown Bourbon Co. to make the whiskey.
