Luxury Spirits Gain in August

Dear Client: The spirits industry had a solid August, with luxury spirits showing particularly impressive results, based on Nielsen-tracked scans in the four-weeks to September 18.Ultra-premium spirits showed the most growth by far in the 4-weeks, with dollar sales gaining 18.6% and volumes up 23.6%. Those results also showed improvement from the 13-weeks and 52-weeks, which could indicate a new positive growth trend.But good news never comes without a dose of reality. Pricing also took a hit in the 4-weeks.
