Lots of Unknowns in WA as Deadline for $150 Million Nears

Dear Client:Even though Initiative 1183 was passed in November 2011, it was this time last year that privatization really kicked off in Washington State as distillers and spirits distributors were permitted to begin selling spirits directly to on-premise locations. All this time the March 31, 2013 deadline (yes, this Sunday) has been looming in the distance. What deadline, you ask? The deadline for the Liquor Control Board to assess how much of the $150 million that I-1183 guaranteed to the
