IRI: Wine & Spirits Brands Set Up for a Strong July Fourth Weekend

Dear Client:    Total bev alc sales were down about 1% for the week ended June 19, but up 6% compared to the prior week in absolute dollars, per the latest IRI weekly sales report.  By category, spirits sales were up 1.4% compared to the same week a year ago, beer was down 1%, and wine was down 4.3%.  BRANDS TO WATCH. IRI highlighted a few brand families that are well-positioned ahead of the upcoming Fourth of July holiday weekend.
