Continuing our series on how to succeed in control states, WSD recently had an email exchange with Nicole Scebold, the Iowa Alcohol Beverage Department's products manager to discuss how the IABD chooses new products, delisting criteria and how it deals with highly allocated products. Iowa does not own the alcohol retail locations in the state, but it does control the wholesale operations for spirits to the state's 1,380+ private retailers.
