Gopuff Expands Bev Alc Foothold with Liquor Barn Acquisition

Dear Client: Today Philadelphia-based e-commerce retailer Gopuff announced it has acquired Kentucky-based retailer Liquor Barn from private equity firm Blue Equity for an undisclosed sum. The deal increases Gopuff's infrastructure, "further accelerates Gopuff's scale and cements its leadership in the instant needs category," per release.  Liquor Barn (which operates the Liquor Barn, Party Mart and DEP banners) is Kentucky's largest independent bev alc retail chain with 23 locations across the state.
