Glazer’s and Major Brands Respond to Pernod’s MO Lawsuit

Dear Client:You'll recall in January we reported that Pernod Ricard USA has filed a lawsuit against Missouri's two largest distributors, Major Brands and Glazer's Midwest. We covered Pernod's initial legal complaint, and now both distributorships have filed separate responses of their own. QUICK REFRESHER: In Missouri, Glazer's and Major Brands split Pernod's portfolio 44% and 56%, respectively. Pernod says neither of them have a written distribution agreement, and as of September 2012, Pernod decided to consolidate distribution in the state.
