Gallo Targets Next Generation of Wine Drinkers with Acquisition of Whiny Baby

Dear Client: Gallo has acquired Whiny Baby, a cheeky wine brand aimed at bringing younger LDA consumers into the wine category, the company announced yesterday in an Instagram post.  Founder and entrepreneur Jess Druey created the brand to connect with younger consumers, particularly gen Z like herself. The brand launched in California in 2022, and in 2023, Jess entered a joint venture with the McBride Sisters Wine Company, which upped the brand's production capacity and national distribution [see WSD 06-14-2023].
