First Look at Labor Day Scans

Dear Client:   Circana's latest weekly report gives us a first look at Labor Day off-premise trends and the unofficial end of summer.   "Did Labor Day deliver? While many brands delivered expected results, we did not see the breakout growth many had hoped for," writes Circana's Scott Scanlon. Indeed, total bev alc was down 1% for the week ended September 1 compared to the same period a year ago, and up 8% compared to the prior week in absolute dollars.
