New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo sided with distributors on Friday by vetoing the hotly contested Empire Wine Bill. The bill (A5920) was a direct result of the Empire Wine dispute with the New York State Liquor Authority, and was written to limit the agency's power to sanction in-state liquor licensees for violating another state's laws [see WSD 12-04-2015].
