Credit Suisse Predicts Possible Suitor for Foster’s

Dear Client:Credit Suisse has named Pacific Beverages (j-v between Coca-Cola Amatil and SABMiller) the most likely suitor for Foster’s Group. Amatil said last week that it makes sense to combine soft drinks and beer, but Foster’s isn’t currently attractive because of its “relatively high share price,” according to an article in the Sydney Morning Herald. Amatil would have help from SABMiller through its joint-venture, and its largest shareholder Coca-Cola would certainly lend a hand to a possible buyout. Credit Suisse
