Constellation Acquires Empathy Wines to Build Digital & DTC Capabilities

Dear Client:   Constellation Brands announced this morning it has acquired Empathy Wines, a digitally-native wine brand and direct-to-consumer platform, per a release. No financial details were disclosed. Empathy Wines launched just last year as a "vineyard-to-table" wine brand by Gary Vaynerchuk, Jon Troutman and Nate Scherotter. Since the product launched, they've sold about 15,000 cases and acquired more than 2,000 subscription customers to date.
