Bev Alc Trade Groups: Current Funding for TTB Not Sufficient

The national beverage alcohol trade groups have petitioned Congress to fully fund the Obama Administration's $101 million request for the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) in fiscal 2015. In a letter sent to the appropriations committee in the House of Representatives and Senate, the trade organizations -- including Wine Institute, DISCUS, WSWA and the Presidents Forum among others -- writes that the number of wineries, breweries and distilleries in the US has grown by 53.1% since 2007.
