Alert, TTB Looking into Consignment Sales in California

The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is continuing its recent initiative to crack down on illegal trade practices around the country.Today, the agency announced it had initiated a joint operation with agents from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control into alleged prohibited trade practices in Napa and Sonoma Counties.The focus of this TTB investigation is on consignment sales, which are essentially when a supplier gives product to a wholesaler or retailer and the wholesaler or retailer
