Alert, Sazerac to Resurrect Michael Collins Irish Whiskey

New Orleans-based Sazerac has acquired the trademark rights for production, bottling and distribution of the Michael Collins Irish Whiskey brands from Eagle Sellers' Rep, which is presumably an entity of the German-owned Sidney Frank Importing Co.Recall, SFIC spent about $14 million on promoting, marketing and advertising the Michael Collins Irish whiskey brand from 2006 to 2012, but Beam Inc. purchased the Cooley Distillery, where it was made in 2011, and terminated all of the distillery's supply contracts. SFIC promptly filed
