Alert, Campari Acquires Appleton Rum

Dear Client:Gruppo Campari has signed an agreement to acquire an 81.4% ownership in Jamaican-based Lascelles deMercado & Co.(LDM). The acquisition, worth $414.8 million, is the third-largest in the Group's history and will mark Campari's entrance into the rum category as LDM's portfolio includes Appleton Estate, Appleton Special and White, Wray & Nephew and Coruba.
