Jim Beam Brands has officially changed its name to “Beam Global Spirits & Wine†and will make a formal announcement on Monday. The change was due partly to their $5 billion acquisition of premium liquor brands including Sauza tequila, Courvoisier Cognac, Canadian Club whiskey, and a range of new wines that came from the Allied Domecq breakup. Jim Beam is now ranked number 4 among global spirits companies and contributes 45% of the operating income to Fortune Brands. Chief Tom
