While the beer world waits for the Comprehensive Alcohol Regulatory Effectiveness ("CARE") Act to be reintroduced to Congress, the BI's member-CEOs hit the Hill yesterday, canvassing politicians' offices to "promote the effectiveness of the nation's decades-long system of alcohol regulation," by discouraging the adoption of the yet-to-be-introduced Care Act, according to a BI statement. The lineup includes a mix of big and small brewing interests, including Dave Peacock of A-B to Sam Calagione of Dogfish and smaller brewers. It's a preemptive move, clearly, to prevent the Care Act from getting co-sponsors
