March 23, 2011Two Ohio Cases Go for DistributorsDear Client:In the long-running case of several Ohio distributors who were terminated by MillerCoors under the Ohio law which allows distributors to be terminated without cause within 90 days of a brewer being purchased by a "successor brewer", the court handed the distributors a summary judgment yesterday in favor of the distributors, and denies MillerCoors the right to terminate.The decision simply centers around whether MillerCoors is a true "successor manufacturer" under Ohio law.
